A Sierra Tradition

Bucks Lake Resort & Hotel has been a destination for families, anglers, and nature lovers for generations. Nestled in the heart of Plumas National Forest at 5,150 feet, our resort sits on the edge of one of Northern California's most beautiful alpine lakes.

We're a family-owned operation, and we take pride in offering the kind of genuine Sierra hospitality that's hard to find. Our staff know every trail, every fishing hole, and every hidden swimming cove — and we love sharing them with guests.

Whether you're looking for a cozy room, a full lakeside cabin, or just a place to leave the city behind, Bucks Lake Resort has been that place for decades. We hope it becomes your place too.

What We Believe

Our Values

Leave It Better

We're stewards of this landscape. We work with local conservation groups to protect the forest, the lake, and the wildlife that call it home.

Genuine Hospitality

No corporate scripts. We're real people who love this place and want you to love it too. Our team is here to help — just ask.

Real Wilderness

We believe the best amenity is nature itself. We keep it comfortable, not over-curated — so the forest remains the main attraction.
